CloverETL 4.3 Milestone Gives a Sneak Peek Into Fully Featured Code Debugging

June 30, 2016

Shortly after the production release of 4.2 we’re already working on new stuff for you! We continue our efforts towards making CloverETL a pleasant experience for everyday users. Productivity has been the word circling the dev teams for a while now. Here’s the taste of what’s coming.

Code debugging

We’ve built CloverETL to be very visual and we’re keeping it that way. However, there’s a lot of flexibility waiting for anyone who is not afraid of diving into a piece of code. You can put code into many components in CloverETL, adding business logic, rules or mappings. Understanding how the code works on actual data and seeing individual commands step-by-step greatly reduces the time to get the code working correctly.

With this update, we’re making it easier and quicker to debug code you use in components. You can now experience the full power of debug interface known from traditional programming IDEs in CloverETL Designer for code in your transformations.
