CloverETL 4.2 Release Drives Parallel Processing and Team Collaboration

This week, CloverETL 4.2.0 was released. This significant release brings two primary new features following feedback from our clients: version control for Server projects and parallel processing.

Performance efficiency with parallel processing

For Server Corporate, we're bringing “data partitioning” – a feature formerly available only in Cluster. Potentially bringing performance gains in orders of magnitudes, this feature lets you run components in parallel without changing your transformation design. This gives you more punch for operations that can utilize multiple CPU cores or high latency operations, such as API calls.

We hijacked an email exchange between one of our sales engineers and his team:
“Pretty cool, huh? Btw tested working, having 4 of those partitioned readers gave ~3.5x performance I got from having just one reader – that is pretty neat as well.”

Version Control for Server

This new release has also focused on redesigning the internals of how Designer interacts with Server, now allowing users to put Server remote projects under version control. This feature allows you to not only to better collaborate during development, but also for easier and more reliable management of deployments onto CloverETL Server.

About this release: This is a production release and we recommend upgrading from older versions to this one. Please check Compatibility section for details.
