Design server based transformations with the regular Clover Designer

Features

The Enterprise Editions use the same great graphical interface as the Desktop Edition but you also get a powerful server application that contains a range of extensive features that many organizations will appreciate.

  • Scheduling
  • Extensive monitoring
  • History of executed transformation graphs
  • "Sandbox" management (local and shared file systems)
  • User & Group Access Rights Management
  • Launch centrally stored data transformation graphs manually and with HTTP calls
  • Workflow Management (reacts and manages notification to graph and system events as well as triggering further transformations)
  • File Event Listeners (automatic triggering of transformations when data files are updated or added)

How you benefit

While the Desktop Edition is powerful in its own right, many organizations will require a degree of automation that the Enterprise Edition offers. Enteprise Edition allows you to automatically execute transformations using scheduling or trigger your transformations with a simple HTTP call. You can also enforce execution security using rights management. The workflow capabilities also allow you to trigger follow on transformations and notifications based on system and transformation graph events.

Designing Data Transformation Graphs

You use the exact same graph designer as offered by the Desktop Edition. This means you can still build, test and run graphs locally. However, the Enterprise Designer supports communication with the Clover Server component so your graphs can be deployed and run centrally.

Components

Clover Enterprise Editions come with the same comprehensive range of connectors as available in all commercial Editions.

Platform Independent

Enteprise Editions, like the Desktop Edition, are Java based and will run on almost every 32 and 64 bit server platform including Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, AS/400 (System i). They run in Tomcat, Websphere, JBoss, GlassFish, and Jetty application servers.

Scalability

Enteprise Editions take full advantage of your servers' processor architecture. Its multi-threaded design ensures that a transformation takes full advantage of available processors and processor cores on your servers.

Cluster & Cloud Editions

If you need to process massive amounts of data then the Cluster Edition and the Cloud Edition takes scalability to the next level and allows transformation and ETL jobs to be executed in parallel on multiple servers in-house or in the Cloud and as a result you can achieve near linear scalability (depending on the type of data). One thing is for sure - Clover offers the best price performance available anywhere in the ETL and data transformation space.
