Eclipse 3.4 GANYMEDE allows you to install CloverETL Designer plugin directly into it. In this release of Eclipse Platform, all required plugins are being installed during the installation of CloverETL Designer plugin. You do not need to install them separately and you only need to download and install CloverETL Designer.
The methods of downloading CloverETL Designer depend on your license and they all differ for Eclipse 3.4 as compared with how it must be done with other versions of Eclipse.
First, you must register an account at the company site: www.cloveretl.com/user/register.
After that, you will be sent an e-mail with your login name and password. In that mail, you will be asked to confirm the registration. Without doing that, you would not be able to download the CloverETL Designer plugin.
When you confirm the registration, you can download CloverETL Designer itself. After choosing → from the main menu, you can see the window with already installed software:
Switch to the Available Software tab and
click the button on it and fill in
the text area in the new window. For Location you
must type:
http://designer.cloveretl.com/eval-update
(or http://designer.cloveretl.com/update for commercial CloverETL Designer).
Remember that if you have more sites of CloverETL Designer in your list of available software in Eclipse 3.4, you should keep only one CloverETL Designer site there and remove the other CloverETL Designer sites. Otherwise, Eclipse would ask your login and password for all of them gradually, even if only one site is checked.
The resulting window should be as follows:
Now, when you click , you will be prompted to fill in your username and password that you have received in the registration mail.
When you type your username and password and click , CloverETL Designer will be found. After selecting and expanding the item, the window should look like this:
Now, you must click the button and confirm the installation by clicking .
Then you need to select I accept the terms in the license agreements and click .
Again, you will be asked to restart the Eclipse Platform.
After that, you should see the CloverETL logo when you choose → .
This way, you have installed the CloverETL Designer plugin using the Eclipse Platform.
